So I acquired some gear at Bothner's B-day sale.
Got a Harmonist PS-6 and the Ernie Ball Stereo VP that's been sitting there for like 10 years or something.
I'm envisioning the final setup to be using the EB VP's B side to control the expression function on the PS-6 and the A side to do volume for my rig.
I'm getting Ben Craig (CraigAmps) to build me a special 6 loop loop switcher with a buffer on the last 4 loops which should help with tone suck but I'll at least be able to take it totally out of the chain anyways if it's really naughty. Also I have to take it out the chain when using it for expression or it will do volume and expression at the same time which ain't useful.
So what I've done is really make a cheaper, more space efficient, more power efficient, more versatile Digitech Whammy.
The expression pedal really makes the PS-6 a decent pedal. Oh, the Ernie Ball sucks MASSIVE amounts of tone and the PS-6 did at first, but after I got a new PSU (T-Rex Chameleon) it seems it's own buffer is actually doing a good job and (this may sound strange) but it actually doesn't suck any tone.
INCOMING LOOP SWITCHER and then a new, custom-built, helweg style board to follow.
