  • Thinking... PRS SE Paul Allender Scarlet

In the spirit of considering many options after playing something with single coils through my setup...
I've found a second hand PRS SE Paul Allender Scarlet for R4000... not a bad price? at least R2000 of the last retail special as advertised on the forum...
Comes with a case...

It has humbuckers in the bridge and neck, with coil tap.
Trem... have actually wanted a trem for a while... I wanted to put a bigsby onto my Epiphone.

I listend to some demos on youtube... but obviously individual player styles and amps will make a huge difference.
Mmmm... perhaps I must organise to go test it with my gear... think I will make arrangements tomorrow...

Thoughts? Opinions?
Good guitar @ a good price.
I played one this weekend and was very impressed.

I think the selling point for me is...

      wait for it...

      wait for it...

It comes with straplocks also... hahaha... eish ???
Still bummed about dropping my Epi...
Just got one for my daughter (the one Arjun played) and it's a really good guitar. Hers doesn't have coil tap though and is all original (pre emg version). I'd say you won't be unhappy.
Just waiting to hear if the guy still has it... if he does I am gonna go test it with my setup...
A few of them on Junktree the last while.

Just haven't considered them as I am not a fan of the artist (Paul Allender) and his music. Will not feel comfortable playing it. But that's just me.

Technically and for the price, it's a great guitar (don't know any PRS SE's that are NOT ? )

I had that thought momentarily also... then I thought... hell...I am batty anyway... lol...
This one is sold tho... so I will continue my search.
I like the look of this:

But damn... they are over 20k second hand... doubt I will ever spend that much on a guitar.
