I periodically stumble upon a Bugera amp demo and they always sound top notch to my ears. I never considered owning one for some reason so I never checked out the pricing. Then when I saw the pricing on Bugera gear tonight I nearly died!!
How can stuff that sounds so good be so cheap? Now I understand that Bugera belongs to Behringer... And Behringer has a bit of a reputation for making affordable gear which can sometimes be a bit nasty...

So any personal experiences or opinions?

I might just buy some new toys...
If it works for ears then go for it. Interesting article in the latest edition of guitarist which inludes a bugera...it is an article where the bugera bc 30 is compared to a matchless dc 30, price points of 399 and 3399 pounds respectively... The bugera is given good reviews .....its not in a matchless class but then it does cost a tenth of it....

Eodit: not sure the latest edition of guitarist is available in hardcopy but if u can get the electronic version there is a video embeded too...
Yeah, what ICM said. If its sound suits your music and style, and you really like the sound apart from the price tag, then get yourself one.

Interesting thing happened while I was listening to a demo of one. I was amidst a group watching this dude from Music Connection demo it. I was standing in some magic spot cos I was hearing two sounds from the cab, one warm and one bright. So there I was rocking side to side playing a little game of hide and seek with each speaker (must have looked like a real oddball) but it was something that kept my attention for 5 minutes nonetheless. Eventually got bored of the same thing being played and went to play a Larrivee instead while the other monkeys stood there all bright eyed and bushy tailed waiting for the same riff of 5 minutes ago to be repeated again.

To this day I don't know how it happened because the design of the speaker (and four of them in a cab) shouldn't have had a spot of weaving between two signals. Maybe someone knowledgeable with sound could explain to me what happened. So this has nothing to do with Bugera though, just a somewhat interesting experience for me.

So once again, if you like it... and its the sound you want, then by all means get yourself one.

Those cabs are quite affordable... 4x12 200watt for around R2800
Yikes, reviews on the sound of the cabs and reviews on the quality of Bugera kit have scared me very far away from this brand. :'(

I dont feel like taking chances. I had my eye on the Bugera V5 and I've seen some other threads on here about that, but I guess I'm gonna save up for a H&K Tubemeister to use for late-night playing

Interesting video! I prefer the Bugera's tone in this instance. But as the video's description states, the amps weren't tweaked individually to deliver their best tones.

The reviews on the quality of Bugera is shocking to say the least. I wonder how true most of them are?

Nice Vid! The Bugera seems to be a bit brighter than the Mesa... But I will tell you I reaallly like the looks of the Bugera!
