Depends on what you want - bridge pickup tone, both or neck? There's always a bit of a compromise with any hybrid.
There are special Strat bridge pickups that are built more like a Telecaster pickup with 43 gauge wire and a steel plate underneath. You can also put a steel plate under any AlNiCo bridge pickup to get you part way there, but ultimately, the bridge pickup has to be mounted from the bridge to get the specific Tele bridge tone.
The neck on the Baja is one of the reasons it's so good sounding - it's hard to get fat maple neck tone from anything other than a fat maple neck. I popped a maple neck on my hybrid a few months ago as while the neck I had for it (pao ferro on maple) was really nice, it did lose something. This is it now:
I wanted a range of sounds so the position 3 (middle setting) on the switch gives me bridge and neck pickups, that way positions one (bridge) and three are more Tele oriented, while the rest are pure standard Strat (even position 2 is surprisingly Stratlike).
