Before I learned to use a major 3rd in blues I was playing as one side of a 2 guitar garage reverb-fest called Krakatoa. Well, it turns out I still do. If you guys want to hear guitar, and lots of it, done old-school, come and check out the Shake Some Action party at the Mercury Live on Saturday night from 9pm. You'll see me playing a bolt on guitar with a whammy bar, a 50Watt vintage Fender tube amp, and even using effects pedals (do I hear shrieks of disbelief from Shreddy? ?).

We do lots of original material, including a number of instrumentals and it veers from trad, Dick Dale style surf through garage-rockabilly'd up punk-rock numbers. Both guitars get fully into the action. Often simultaneously ?

p.s. This is Cape Town people. The rest of you... take sundowners on a mine dump or something ? ?

Haha. Sounds like an interesting band Mr. monkey. Would definitely check it out if I didn't stay in that place with all the mine dumps and crap.
        Hey don't knock jozi .....

In jozi all the pollution in the air leads to fabulous red hued sunsets we drink our coctails under
I'd be there in a flash if I didn't live 1500 k's away in the idyllic and misty surrounds of the Magoebaskloof. Kick some arse Singe!

I think I see where you are confused -- Everything north-east of Cape Town is simply made of mine dumps!

You left out three major key words: SOD THIS WIND!
Is Cape Town in South Africa?...Capetonians believe they live overseas, and they're correct. ?

                    Enjoy the gig, Singe. 8)
Haha yes. We're quietly bewildered that anyone in South Africa can live here, and yet most of you don't. It's like leaving the Lambo in the garage day after day and taking out the cortina. ?

Actually, I was born in Jo'burg and I'm pretty fond of it - although I don't really know it at all well. It's beautiful in summer.
