NGD!! Oh yes! Its been at least three weeks since the last one!

So, as most of you good folk (especially those who pay attention at the back) will know, I've got quite some appreciation of semi-hollow and hollow body guitars/basses. And some of you may remember a particular guitar that I have expressed my 'favour' for in previous postings.... Well, yesterday, one such opportunity arose to get hold of such a guitar.... But, with cashflow being rather tight at present, I didn't have the available funds to buy. I contacted the seller on the off chance that he was looking for an effects unit, and offered my Boss GT-Pro as a partial trade, and balanced out with some cash, and the seller accepted, as his effects unit had recently blown up, and so... Without further adoooo..... I announce my newest member of the family.... My PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow..... Only issue I have with it.... Its BLACK! I've never liked black guitars, and it seems such a waste to have a guitar with a nice maple top on it hidden away! So, I may consider having the top stripped and refinished? We'll see? There are a few little dints and scratches on the top anyway, so this is helping my bias! The only other issues are a slight chip on the tip of the headstock, and the plastic cap of the switch is broken, so I need to source a new one. Spent a few moments setting it up this afternoon, and I'm really liking it. Only drawback now is I no longer have a tuner to fine-tune with since the GT-Pro has now gone! ? Thanks for looking! G!

And so, somewhat predictably, three days after I get this, another pops up on the 'tree' in the exact colour I want it in! Typical! Anyone want to buy this one from me so I can get that one?? ?

No... I have about R500 to my name, so Black Bessie would have to go first.... Which then obviously means that I may miss out all together on the other one, so it would be quite a gamble! Plus, I think the 'gumtrist' is asking a bit much for his. I think R4500 is a fairer price, and I'd look to get R4200 for mine, so still leaves me short.

Lets see what happens? I am enjoying playing Black Bessie, despite not quite having her pups set right, and the fact that she is Black, so I won't be too dissapointed to keep her, and miss out on the other, but just look at the prettiness of that one! :0

So, I decided to put the blackie up on Gumtree and see if I can get a buyer, so that I can get the other one in my prefered colour! Wish me luck!!

I guess we'll find out now if the myth about black guitars selling easier is true or not?

I figured that if I don't at least try, I've got nothing to loose, so I may as well give it a go!
