MattAttack I dunno, from first look, Cape Town property prices look pretty horendous... where would you recommend, ( as close to the city as possible) would be a good area to stay, safety and price wise? [/quote] You're looking in the wrong places bud! It's getting increasingly difficult, but decent places can be had for 4-5k pm. I'm staying in town right next to Rafiki's, and I'm very happy in that area, apart from the street parking and the recent incident of some a-hole denting my classic car and buggering off! I'll be happy to help you find a place to stay, keep in touch.
DrGonzo Well, just compared to what I was renting in a good area in PTA, prices (area dependant of course) are quite a bit more... I guess its the premium for being so close to the mountain, varsity or city bowl. But I managed to find a place in Pinelands for R3.6k p/m a nice garden flat with a little braai area... Im pretty stoked with it, it seems like a nice suburb, lots of trees, Very central and close to everything... so yeah. Im moving in in 2 weeks time. ?

Big-G I spend most of my time in Pinelands between church and the kids schools, and can vouch for Pinelands is indeed a nice area, and we hope to one day move there, but be vigilant, as it does tend to be a target for theft. Mostly opportunistic theft, but some times more targeted. We'll have to get together once you're settled. Regards G!
DrGonzo Cool thanks for the headsup... yeah I was wondering as it seems to be in closer proximity to some not so nice areas than other suburbs, but the house has a small picket fence around it and the owner says they have never had a break in since the moved there 20 years ago. Granted they do have a big black dog so thats a bonus. Definately Big G I would like that. Cheers
