    Do those pickups just look like Danelectro pickups, or are they a genuine emulation?
      I'm not sure. They are the Seymour Duncan Lipsticks, but I've never had the pleasure. All I can say is that in clips they are definitely in the right ballpark.
        I watched a video of one of these. Couldn't help but wonder where the sound would fit in, it sounded rather thin. Cool colours though.

          A bit of a niche to be sure, but lipsticks do have a particular, unique chime to them. Quite a few slide players love them.

            They're a genuine copy, Alnico 6 magnets and all. SD makes a slightly hotter version for the bridge, which I've used extensively, and it's not thin by any means - fantastic sounding pickup.
