Fender Strat '62 AVRI and Gibson Les Paul '59 RI

'62 AVRI with 57/62 PUPS. Nice dark rosewood board. Great vintage Fender tone...just the way I like it. The colour is sonic blue, pretty much as in the vertical pic. '59 RI Gibson Les Paul. Nice subtle flame with a dark rosewood board. a Light weight example...very resonant with good sustain.

Reinhard wrote Vic, those are some great looking guitars. I love the colour of the 2 strats and you know how I feel about Gibsons ? Lovely top on that LP. I have realised I am a RW strat guy, so one may join the stable eventually ?

Thanks Reinhard. Yeah the RW board has a very nice feel to it, and of course, it's a bit less bright sounding....go for it !

Yes, a couple of nice toys you have there. 8)

Hi Shaun...thanks....it's a 2006, tobacco burst, dark back. It's just under 9pounds.... IIRC. Stock pups....The case is a RI Lifton case. Certainly the most resonant of all my LP's.

billionairebum

Wow....that strat....where did you find it?

Awesome. Have you been following the developments on the Historic line with regard to improvements in vintage correctness? Must say, the 2013 models I've seen so far are pulling at my heart strings...

I'm aware of the small improvements ito of vintage correctness...must say these okes at Gibson should have got it right looong time ago.. LOL ! You're right the newer releases are awesome but not much different to ours.

Hi Vic, I have got more Strats than anything else but my preference (at the moment anyhow) is Teles.
Maybe one day I'll shock everyone and get a LP... ?

@ Aubs and Vic....A Custom heh... Well if I ever do buy one I'm not sure I would go that far. Probably a little expensive for my first LP. But yours Aubs, is a real beauty, that's for sure.
It would probably end up being a flame top like Vics. (in appearance anyhow).
