Keira modded the hell out of this old Elk, which is well documented here:

Basically a (hand wired) Princeton Reverb in a different coat.
It went into the classifieds and Manny marketed quite persistently that I needed to buy it.
Alan made similar positive noises.
Who can say no to such wisdom?
I used a courier company called Collivery on Keira & Alan's suggestion.

And it went VERY well.
Keira packed the amp masterfully; with the valves separate in plenty of foam; and the amp itself was embedded in its own foam mattress.
I reckon it would have been a good MythBusters experiment to see if it could have survived a 50m fall.
Outside chance it would have.
Cost of courier only about 270 ront.
Picked her up within an hour or so of me hitting the online button on Wednesday.
Arrived this morning.
Using the
cheapest and
slowest shipping option.
I did include the optional insurance though.
Wow.
Re-attached the valves & fired her up.
Very. Very. Very. Nice. Indeed.
Let's leave it at that.
For now.
