There are some new rules to our weekly challenge. 1. Entries are divided into 2 categories (beginner and advanced) 2. Recordings cannot have more than 4 tracks (instruments) 3. The recording must be no longer than sixty seconds 4. Originals only no covers

This weeks challenge was HEAVY. Here are the entries

So we have 2 entries both in the same category. You the voters get 1 vote per category, So you still only get to vote once.

firstly i'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bleek i didn't have time to record for this challenge,i really have had no time and i've wanted this topic for a long time ☹

i voted spyke,his song was heavier...sepheritoh,nice work,very well recorded,i was actually stumped when i voted,had to ask my girlfriend for help ?

Two very different styles of "heavy".
Sep's is brilliant and reminds me of Europe's "Final Countdown" and van Halen's "Jump" in a way, but Spyke's is heavier, although not as involved as Sep's. Tough choice!

@ Graeme: Thanks. Just for the record, when I started to mix I could not decide exactly on the sound I was looking for, but I started with something like Owner of a lonly heart in the back of my mind. I know I ended way of the mark.

This was fun and seeing we have so many people who ran out of time, there is no stopping us from having the same theme for next challenge again.

I'm all for this idea (seeing as we're both in contention for the honour of deciding the next theme) as I will be offline for the next two weeks and thus unable to come up with a theme should I manage to pip Seph.

+1 Lawrence - We all are over comiited at this time of year so taking a break till Jan is a good idea. Running a second round of Heavy would be good because many people who would have liked to enter this one didn't find the time to finish recording (including myself). and agreed Quinus would have been entered in the advance catagory and would have one by default. But maybe he wants to keep it for another round. when there is at least oneother advanced competitor to beat ?

Ok me better get cracking then! I bought ZW44's Micro BR today. Quite a tool I tell ya! Plus it allows me to sneak off and record something somewhere out of wifey's reach ?
