Norman86 Talking of these power conditioners.. What is the actual difference between the PS10 and the PB10? Other than the price of course?? http://www.soundz.co.za/pSAPS10/Samson-Audio-Powerstrip-PS10-230V-Power-Distribution-Strip.aspx http://www.soundz.co.za/pSAPB10/Samson-Audio-Powerbrite-PB10-230V-Power-DistributionConditioner.aspx If its only the price, then surely the PS10 is good enough? Isnt it?! I only have my Albion TCT35 and the pedalboard which runs off the Cioks DC-8
AlanRatcliffe Norman86 wrote What is the actual difference between the PS10 and the PB10? The PB has the pull out LED ligting on the front and a plug in gooseneck light on the rear - both of which come in real handy in a rack.
Gearhead Norman86 wrote and if i wont use it in a rack? If you don't put rack equipment in a rack, it is going to float around, have sharp corners cutting up other stuff and getting scratched itself as well.

Norman86 soooo... i managed to wangle an old deal that fell through... picked up a samson pb10 a few minutes ago! came with a whole bunch of iec cables and a usb gooseneck light! very lekker hey... will test it out on the weekend! it will eventually be fixed to my amp stand!
Mr-M Been using a compact 10A Furman for the last 6 months with great reliable results. Use it for my pedalboard and amp and carry it around in my cable bag instead of a power strip.
Paddy Just an update. Got hold of a mains tester, house is earthed to my amazement. They also fixed up all the wires on the electric fence. Nothing is touching. But there are still ticks coming through on the amp. So a PS10 will be my next gear purchase ASAP. ? Lets hope it'll remove some of the noise, and keep my babies safe from the nasty surges and blackouts we are experiencing at the moment. Thanks for the help and insight.

Have they put a separation transformer between the net and the generator? Have they put the generator on a separate earth spike? Please don't count on the 'magic black box' to solve everything automagically.
