Squonk And if you want to hear some nostalgic old 5FM Jocks. They have Ballz Visual Radio with Darren Scott and John Walland weekdays between 15:00 and 18:00 Lots of sport and typical Darren Scott type humour. MixFM also have the following ex 5FM jocks - David Blood, Dereck "The Bandit" Richardson, Ian F and Sasha Marteningo, Tony Blewett.
giggsy Grew up listening to the likes of Scott and Walland as well as Blewett, so great to hear them again
costafonix PeteM wrote Guess what I'll be tuning into when I get to Jozi. Pete, you can audiostream, just log onto www.mixfm.co.za ? :yup:
domhatch it's definitely my station of choice. tuned out of 5 and highveld long ago, was listening to 702, but that got depressing quickly. mix ain't perfect, they do play the odd track more than once a week, but i can put up with that; heck, at least it's not the same track three times in the same 12-hour period. what appeals to me most is the range of music they play. you can hear the latest (so-called) hottest tracks, which pleases the kids, and then explain to those self-same kids about queen, the moody blues, eric clapton ('cocaine' was an interesting discussion), led zep, edie brickell, the doors, lord knows how many artists... plus news, traffic, sports, and djs with a modicum of personality. it's a blast dh|
