I have been waiting for years to get a Strat. Thank you to some on the forum (Alan, Bob etc) who advised me on which Strat is likely to produce the sound I was after.
A BIG thank you to Brendan Peackock (Ex GFSA) who gave me 2 Strats on loan for a couple of weeks to help me make up my mind.
Anyway, so it arrived yesterday and here are some pics.
This is how it arrived in it's very rugged and spiffy Fender case. The kind Fender people ship these with jack cable, strap and cleaning cloth.
Here the finish on the neck is quite visible (apologies for the slight blur, I was shaking), I have always wanted a Maple neck.
And here are 2 pics where the maple grain is visible.
I am very happy and hope that new sounds will open up to me with much practice.
