Fakes and how to spot them

With the increasing number of fake guitars (and microphones) around, I've tried to find sources which can help a potential buyer avoid being scammed. Hope this will help someone to avoid the temptation to buy a "nice bargain" out there in the jungle ? I play Highway One only, and so did my one instructor at Berklee, Thaddeus Hogarth. Mostly unmodded and relic'd in his case. Brilliant guitars if you get your tone from your hands not your gear.

So if you get your tone from your hands you might aswell have saved yourself about 7k and bought an sx? But no you like that Fender logo on your highway one dont you?
