Usually, when making a music video, the song is recorded first and then the video is arranged and edited to the music. You do not need a video facility in a DAW to record a song. The song is then used for the shooting of the video and then video editing software (such as adobe premiere or final cut pro) is used to compile the video.
FWIW, Nuendo does not have any video editing facilities nor can it render audio and video together.
Nuendo is used to mix SOUND TO VIDEO, such as in film scoring, jingles, surround sound, etc.
Music videos are the other way around, i.e. VIDEO TO SOUND.
Cheers ?

and plus man, I dunno if you knew it, but Nuendo is stupidly expensive... you could get yourself a full DAW package plus paid for Video Editing Software and still have plenty to spare for that kind of money..
It only really makes sense to get it if you running a high end audio post suite doing sound for big films and such imo... most other DAWs like cubase logic studio one etc will offer more than good enough audio and video capability...
