I recently purchased a fender telecaster deluxe ..Think is a 95 model..the serial number starts with a ''S''..
What worries me thou..the serial number is stated above crafted in japan..Did they make tele's with the serial
number in that manner??
cause most of the pics i have seen ..say made in japan..and the serial number below..
Hey Owen, Yes I stll think it is a Japanese Serial Number, and if it’s crafted in Japan, it was made either at Tokai Gakki or Dyna Gakki Factory (probably Dyna Gakki). Fugi Gen ultimately lost the fender contract in 96/97, but other factories were roped in to supply Fender Japan from as early as '92.

Unfortunely you can't really go by Fender Japan Serial numbers, ususally you have to take off the neck and there should be (not always either) a written date.

HOWEVER, it could also be a Tokai Made Fender made between 2006-2008

Put a pic up, let me see if I can help you.

Also check you volume and tone pot's inside they should also say Japan!
Howzit..thanks allot for the feedback...As soon as i get home i will send u a pic..
