Smoke much?
Looks like it survived a fire! Beautiful, I'd revert to the original bridge unit.
.... and maybe give it a little clean!
Wonder how much it went for?

it's still a gem
Amen!
Smoking peaked in the Western world in the mid 1960s. At that time about 65% or something people smoked. So if you were doing a lot of club gigs - heck, even just sitting around with friends in your living room - you guitar was going to get a lot of smoke exposure.
When I got my Strat in Zim I had to put two bottles of crappy Insignia (Christmas presents) aftershave in the case. There are some smells that definitely impair your creativity. The smell of unwashed farm labourers is one of them!Keira WitherKay wrote:it's a 50's tele........... ? it has prob seen a lot of smokey barsand gigged a hellava lot to look like that, and you know the secret is to buy the really well worn(played) guitar cos it obviously is a good one thats playable or it woulda laid under the bed so it's earned the right to smell anyway it wants .... ?aja wrote: I wonder if it is smelly?
