Here is a nice challenge.... :? You are invited by Radio X to host a 1 hour music programme (5-6 pm) in which you airplay about 10-15 songs. These should have wider appeal and not be focussed on a specific style or genre. The generous sponsor of the programme is a Financial institution. What songs/music would you play ? :-\

The Verve Pipe? ??? ??? (Googles it quickly....) Wow, you're right! ? Didn't even know there was such a band .... :-[ We used to listen this song vrot when I was still studying. The MP3 I have from way back then still says it's by The Verve.... ? Well, now I know, thank you.
Btw, quite an easy and fun song to play with two acoustics, especially if the vocalist is prepared to go for it a bit.

That's why God made the radio....(Beach Boys)...a bit of nostalgia, and it's a fun song I think...

Whole lotta love (Led Zep) ....just to show off the quality of rock from the late '60's..... ?

Wonderful Land (Shadows)...perhaps one of the most beautiful Strat instrumentals ever recorded

Yeah, one of those many one hit wonder US bands in the 90s along with New Radicals, Dishwalla, Len, Harvey Danger etc. Checked my iPod and I dont have Freshman (which you now have me on a hunt to get) but have another album of theirs called Underneath which after skimming through a few tracks sounds just like Collective Soul

This is why I would really struggle to do a show like this. It would feel pointless playing songs that many other DJs will play anyway.
