?. Sunderland next.... Gotta beat felloe strugglers
ActionArnie
Well played, nothing more important near the bottom 3 than to beat those around you. Arsenal get a coupla dodgy penalties at home ... maybe they're the new United.

lol, i think you mean the new city. did'nt you read this story during the week ? :
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/8315629/Manchester-United-boss-Sir-Alex-Ferguson-starts-mind-games-ahead-of-City-derby.
Did any of you ou's see the 'foul' on santi cazorla? apparently it was the most blatant of dives by him ?
ActionArnie
Yeh I saw it, was a bit embarrassed as an Arsenal fan. Would love to see the FA retroactively ban players for that. If the guy expects a challenge and goes down to ride the impact then fine, but he should tell the referee there was no contact and get on with the game.
I can't recall who it was, but I remember seeing an opponent fly-kick Tony Adams many years ago, the ref charged up all excited-like ready to whip out the red card but Adams calmed the ref down and talked him out of issuing the chap the send off, need more sportsmen like that.

That Cazorla dive was awful - at least most players wait for a touch, no matter how small, but thats taking it to a new level.
But onto more importamt matters... ? what a derby win! I would have been happy with a draw beforehand (but not after being 2-0 up...) But that why we spent all that money on RVP, though we should give at least half of his wage to Nasri - what was he doing in the wall? But I'll take a win any which way, especially as it takes United 6 points clear and crushes their unbeaten home record. Nice also to see the class of their fans coming through.

Still looks like contact to me 8) That's probably the angle that makes it look the worst ?

loss against sunderland is a catastrophe , thats 2 losses at home agaisnt strugllers(sunderland and wigan) ...unacceptable ,,and then villa's loss at home to wigan put saints back in relegation zone...villa are an abomination and deserve to play 3rd division i reckon....beat liverpool away then record losses ..they conceded like 20 goals in the last 2 weeks ...goalies back must be sore from picking up the ball
today , aresenal ,at home ....we need a win

Yeh, the late game ... at least I can watch in peace as the kids will (hopefully) be in bed. I'm hoping the Soton old boys won't get all sentimental and not perform
ActionArnie
Eish ... Arsenal looked asleep for most of that half, lucky to go in 1-1.
EDIT POST MATCH: Absolutely disgusted by that Arsenal performance, should've come away with nothing from that match. Sagna is an absolute train wreck, very very poor.
IceCreamMan
score both goals of the match an only get a point eh...makes the loss against sunderland that much worse i reckon...
i think arsenal need to think of letting wenger go...they need ne ideas ...
need more points but out of relegation zone and the saints goal difference has improved a bit compared to fellow straglers ,might be telling in the end
ActionArnie
Felt a bit sorry for Liverpool in the end, lots of decent chances in the 2nd half and they played well. United too clinical.
As for my beloved Arsenal, Koscielny ruined what could've been a cracking game. Performance was reasonable considering, but Arsenal lost all chance really in the 10th minute. Can't play 70 minutes a man down against the champs and expect to come out with anything. Kompany unlucky to see red I thought.

United should have buried Liverpool in the first half - it was completely one sided and was only once they scored that they got some momentum. Liverpool were lucky to end up with 11 on the pitch and how Webb could let Liverpool play on while Reina was down (due to his own player pushing Kagawa into him and denying a simple tap-in, so that should have been a penalty), but when Liverpool lost the ball, after having plenty of time to kick the ball out, and United were on the attack, Webb blows. Shocking decision.
And as for Arsenal... Thanks for nothing ?

Good win for saints though ...away ...had some tricky wins away thus far which has made a huge difference ..esp after losing at home to wigan and sunderland ........\

Fantastic result ..i still rue the wigan an sunderland home results and will do so all season , had these 2 games gone the way they should of have i would have no relegation concerns at all this season..... as it is on 15th place but only 3 points ahead of drop zone and i still fancy ole "arry to save QPR .....

Yip, with the investment going on there, you've got to back Harry to keep them up. The Saints just need to apply themselves against the Wigans, Liverpools and Readings the same way they do against the big guys

I know I'm a Liverpool fan and all but you just said "Liverpool" and "apply themselves" in the same sentence! ? good one!
