vic singemonkey wrote Wonderful Vic! Such great condition too. Just in time for your rockabilly project, I reckon ? Thanks Singe. I have a drummer....still looking for a double bass - and honky tonk player...and a vocalist with that Gene Vincent attitude.... ?
vic Thanks Aubs and Reinhard. You know, it was n't an easy desission...why I don't know. I've been pondering on this guitar for many weeks...until I saw it and played it..... The Union Castle sticker on the case....I was wondering whether this baby belonged to a dance-band muso on the liners or whether it was just a "passenger" on the ship. The previous owner looked so well after this instrument.
vic needleshy wrote Very nice find Vic, congrats. As stated earlier the condition is amazing for the age. Thanks Needleshy....hope you still enjoy that goldtop !
domhatch that is one amazing find. my grandparents used to spend a large amount of time on union castle ships. this brings back memories - even for me. you go ahead and have a blast on that beautiful instrument. dh

vic PeteM wrote Lovely instrument Vic... have fun. Thanks Pete. You know what I also found in a dark corner of the case..?.....one of those plastic shirt-collar stiffeners.....about 5 cm x 7mm.....commonly used as plectrums in the 50/60's...you may remember those..? ?
