It's actually quite a weird one.. By the fact that you don't like a band/artist: that says, for you, that there are more bad points than good.
Not really. I don't like Puccini (or any opera other than some of the Mozart), but it's good music by
any stretch of the imagination. It just doesn't appeal to me. Likewise with a lot of bebop or light jazz, a lot of prog bands like Dream Theater, ELP (but I'm a
huge King Crimson Fan, so go figure - Chad gets all flustered about that ?).
I have to say though, in most cases, I can usually nail down exactly why I don't enjoy some particular band or music, and I can usually see why other people do like it. So I like to think I learn something from even the bands I don't like.
