Tele GAS

I have serious Tele GAS!

Firstly, for me there are only 2 colours a Tele is allowed to be:

Blonde..

Sunburst with binding..

But what I want is:

Sure the neck bucker kinda doesn't make it a proper Tele but I think it just makes it a bit more versatile.

Since I cant afford a '52 relic Tele and for some reason they dont make a normal mex Tele in blonde (and with the right bridge) Im thinking a Baja Tele, and then just get a replacement pickguard and put a Classic 57 Gibson pickup in it..

Been eyeballing Thomann.de and you could land one here excl clearing fees for R6k odd.. so say 7k with fees.

Or.. make a mongrel and ask Manny if he'd make me a Tele body and fit my Strat neck on it ? Always thought a Tele with a Strat neck looked weirdly cool

I believe a Strat neck heel is rounded whereas a Tele on is square but when cutting a body this could probably be taken in to account

If you're making the body, you can make it for any neck ...

Don't think you'll regret a baja tele. basically the tele range of my strat (which I'm very happy with, you know, the harsh bright one ?) - classic player series.
Not sure how they're routed or if you'll get a humbucker in there? ah according to http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaster-discussion-forum/77127-baja-tele-routed-humbucker.html -> nope!

Or you could wait a few months and get a Mark Jenny tele with me ? ? I'm hoping to go for a strat neck too :yup:

Ok, the GAS got unbearable so I made a purchase, will take a few weeks to arrive..

I have serious GAS for a 2nd Tele.
I will most likely end up with a Roadworn (w black scratch plate)

Even the stock pick ups are OK !
