Looking into buying one of these off a classifieds site, but I'm wanting the guy to send me the serial number before I travel out to him. He doesn't seem to know his way around the amp, does anyone know off-hand where I should tell him to look for the number?

Thanks guys!
looking at the same amp! Guy is not responding though. I fear something fishy going on. It's just to good to be true. I'm thinking, it's not the amp he says it is or it's stolen or something?
I spoke to him a few times.

I told him that the amp was worth way more than what he was asking and I was willing to meet him at the police station with a more market related figure.
He said yes then came back saying he now wants to rent it out and offered me a fender frontman.

If he does have the amp I doubt the means in which it was acquired.
Ja dude, I'm going to forget about this, if someone else goes for it and scores, well good for you. Liewers bang Jan as dooie Jan. :'(
The serial number will be written on the 'sticker' you see on my 66 Vibrolux Reverb (sold), on the left side of the inside of the cab.
Also, there's a serial number on the speakers, that indicates/confirms the year as well.

Not sure why the images are so small, right click and "View Image".

I have similar reservations. He claims a friend brought it from the USA a while ago. I actually did some research, he seems to check out, if he's the person he claims. He's an "Artist manager" or something for some company in Rosebank. He says I can pick the amp up from him at work, and hasn't said anything about EFT's or anything, so I assume he has the amp...

BluJu, do you reckon he actually wants to rent it out for that price, or sell it? I can't get much out of him, any email I send him is usually responded to with a 5-word answer.

Yeah he never acknowledges that I want the serial number, even though I told him 3 times that I want it. Basically, if I don't hear from him tonight on the subject, I shall assume foul play and not contact him again.
I also told him the amp is worth more than he wants, and the first response I got was that he wants an EFT and the phone put down in my ear. I'm guessing the moment he realizes you know exactly what it is he's advertising, he gets cold feet. Not worth a second call as far as I'm concerned.
                I also saw the advert
did not even bother to send a message

                  :-\ :-\

so you were going to offer him like 15,0000 RSA?
