Absolutely right - the sound was woeful, could barely hear the lead guitarist. Quite liked the venue though with the highway looming over you. Really enjoyed the performance though - quite a diverse set they played

I loved the show! I thought the vocals, bass and drums came through fine, it was just the lead guitar that was too soft.
Yeah, the venue was really cool; we need more of these type of events to take the city back.
The lead was really hard to hear. Even more so with Shadowclub. I liked their set; they played songs that I hadn't heard before and grabbed my interest again. I'd got bored of them lately because it was just like hearing the album. I just wish I could have hear the guitar parts. It was SO bass heavy that when they started, I though "Hey, cool bassline" and then looked up to see the only the guitarist playing. For the rest of the show, I could only hear him if he was playing the top two strings from the 9th fret up - none of the lower rhythm stuff made it through above the bass. A friend of mine said it sounded like they had all the bass bins on but only half of the mid-range speakers. It got clearer when they turned it up for Bloc Party but still wasn't great. Their guitarist played some interesting stuff and used his delays a lot and it really would have been cool to hear him better.
