    I had the opportunity to buy a strat plus last year.. i let the deal slip and ever since i've just been inlove with the entire Fender plus range!! Gorgeous guitars, im guessing insurance must really add up on a collection like that!
      Hi Fredddy-Bl00D, Yep the Strat Plus and Tele Plus are very nice. A shame you didn't get your Strat Plus, I'm sure you would have enjoyed it. Keep your eye open, I'm sure another one will come along. And yes, insurance is a bit of a killer.

        I somehow missed this thread before. :-[ Some lovely instruments there.

        Your Tele build is the one that catches my eye the most - awesome looking neck. Any details to share?

        Which Kinman humbucker is that? Any opinions on it? Chris has been pushing me to try out his humbuckers for a while, but I haven't got round to it yet (and his descriptions make it very hard to make choices).

          Hi Alan, the neck is a Warmoth Vintage/Modern with 6105 fret wire, LSR Nut and Schaller Locking Tuners.
          The body was built and finished by High Lonesome Guitars in the US.
          The bridge is a Wilkinson VS 100.
          Kinman Pickups
          2 x AVn - 59 Srat Pickups
          1 x Extra Vintage Astound Humbucker
          TK9 Wiring Harness
          The K9 wiring harness gives an incredible variety of tonal possibilities and I love the Extra Vintage Humbucker. Not real great at describing what it sounds like though.
            Thanks! The positions of the F-hole and control plate are pretty unique - they're usually further forward.
              You know, that is something I hadn't noticed. ??? You could knock me down with a feather. Anyhow it feels fine to me. I just hope it's not something that starts to bug me now i know !!
                No worries. I'm just the type who notices things like that. Makes the guitar stand out...

                      Well ... a couple of months ago I bought a Fender Modern Player Tele Plus body on Ebay from "thestratosphere". I had a nice Mighty Mite neck I was going to put on it, but, would you believe it, Fender make these with a longer neck pocket. They are made to take a 22 fret neck without any overhang. I couldn't find another neck that would fit without having one custom made so I then had to buy a neck from one of these guitars. (It would have been cheaper to have bought a guitar and thrown all the unwanted parts). I guess that's what you get for buying Chinese made !!
                      Anyhow a few pics :

                      The Tele Plus Neck

                      The Mighty Mite neck I was going to put on it.

                      I replaced the bent steel saddles with stainless steel;
                      Installed vintage style locking tuners;
                      Fitted Lace Sensor pickups, some controls, did some wiring and I was done.
                      I need to cut a pickguard that fits a little neater sometime. It's not a real good fit around the bridge pickup!!

                      The finished Guitar.
