Cheap rack mount power amps

Hi everybody, decided to go rack-mount a while back and have just bought myself a preamp (Boss GL-100) and am really impressed with it, now I need to find I nice power amp to go along with it. The only trouble is that most power amps seem to either be mad expensive (Mesa 2:90 etc) or crazy loud because they're aimed at bassists/PA systems. What cheapish (R1000-R2500) power amps should I look out for on Gumtree?

Eh.. Mesa 20/20? Not too many of them in this country, but great tone and only takes up 1up space.

Mesa or Marshall? I haven't seen many 20.20s around...

I think the thing with rack gear is that it's generally in the higher price brackets at the best of times.

Are you planning on turning the GL-100s speaker sim off and driving a guitar power amp and speakers, or are you wanting to use the sim with more of a PA amp and speakers?

Preferably power amp into guitar cab, the GL-100's speaker sim is one of its few flaws.

An alternative could be to take a combo and use only the poweramp part of it - more on offer second hand and less cable length between tranny and speaker.
