Got me a wee 500W Promethean bass head and 15" cab...

Four sets on Friday (used as backline for three other bands) and two on Saturday and I'm a happy camper indeed ? . Lotsa headroom (it is 500 afterall) and the head and cab together are nice 'n light. Went with an Ibby product because the head sounded better (to me) than comparable Markbass and GK heads and the combo set up works nicely - head bolts onto the cab, and like I said... very light. The GK neo range also had a lot of quality control complaints online otherwise I would've gone for a featherweight cab from them.
Still figuring out how to dial in the best tone for my Jazz but sounded pretty good with some basic EQing, a lot of variables to play with - fun!

    Never heard of it, but that looks flippen amazing.
      Nice! Did you go straight for the 15" or did you at least try the 10" combo too?
        They didn't have the 10 in stock but given the fact I hate would prefer a 12 to the 10 on my Superchamp, and the fact that we sometimes do biggish rooms without DI to PA I decided 15 would probably be best (and it sounds pretty good!). The 15 takes me longer to dial in good sounding mids but it has bottom when I need it (personal preference). I may pair it with a 212 at some point. The 10 combo gets a lot of love online so it's probably worth checking out!
        @Averatu: thanks ?
