Last year I switched the pups out to a set of Seymour Duncan Alnico II Slash signature pups
Way too powerful and dark for me. ? The Seth Lovers are more my style. But I've never gotten on with Duncan pickups for some reason. The Gibson Burstbucker 1 and 2 might be options, but I'm a little biased against the company for many other reasons.
Hope this wasn't off topic.
Not at all. Thanks for your input.

Have you considered bareknuckle pups?
The stormy Monday pups from the vintage range sound like something you might like, and they're cheaper than the fralins ..
Yes, I considered the Stormy Monday neck and Mule in the bridge. But a pair of BKP covered humbuckers work out about $1K more expensive (GBP114 ea.), and I can't see them actually being much better than Fralin or Lollar. The problem is that at this level, You Tube clips don't really show up the relatively small differences.

I'm ok with my neck pup. (am I allowed to mention it yet? my affiliation is long over?)
Yeah. Of course.
It blends well with the neck pup, especially when I compensate by boosting the treble slightly. But when I do that, the bridge tone is pitchy so I have to roll the tone down.
That's the way most LPs are.
Update
I got all impatient and experimental last night (historically a bad combo for me), tried swapping a few magnets and ultimately ended up raping my poor, long-suffering Sanox for this:
Lollar Imperial normal wind. A2 magnet, 7.2K lightly potted. It works pretty well. So I'll probably just upgrade pots caps and switch for now and see how it goes.
Profiling some Madagascar rosewood surrounds to fit the top (giving myself a blister on my thumb in the process):
Don't have a tall one unfortunately and can't get more because of CITES. Still, the colour works well against the amber top.
