Howdy folks

I have (from what i can tell) a fairly old ibanez bass. It says CTSeries on the headstock. It is a 4 string bass with two pups. One pickup that is basically like a single coil. in the neck and one that looks lik two halfs of a single coil that is next to each other but in a skew way. Like the GIO basses but with the pups switched. It has three knobs. I will posts pics as soon as I get home. But I want to know if anyone knows anything about this bass or this series of basses?
It's an active bass afaik with active jazz and active precision style pups. Are you sure the precision split is not the one near the neck?
Anyway, not a lot of info on them and they tend to be described as "workhorses" which imho is a good thing. It's low to low-mid range extinct Ibanez.

I think someone posted it in the talkbass forum. Anyway, just google it! It isn't that uncommon.

From your first description, it sounds like the bridge pickup is the split coil one (two smaller offset pickups that work together). Am I mistaken? Most basses with a strait and a split coil have the split coil near the neck. Does yours have the same pickup configuration as the pics in the link?

It has the same. I described it wrong. Only saw that after I got home and looked at my bass. ?. I did google it, but did not get anything on it. just random forums asking about it.
