The Times They Are A-Changin
Write any song in any time signature other than the usual 4/4. It can be 3/4 for an easy way out, but try to challenge yourself to play something short and sweet in 4/5, 5/4, 7/8 or any other unusual time sig.
Yes it's time to vote in the Chat Challenge again.

OK. My entry is an experiment in polyrhythm - the rhythm section is in 7/16, while the two guitars play a simple motif in 6/16 (with a twist). This means that the ones only align every seven bars of 7/16.
The "twist" is the second guitar plays an 8/16 version of the motif every eight bars, which displaces the subsequent 6/16 bars against the first guitar. This happens three times, with the third bringing the two back together, wheupon they proceed to play together happily until the next time they converge with the drums, when it stops for fear of being silly. :D
While the individual parts are easy to play, keeping the accents in the right places is a real cow.

Seeing that I have submitted this thing so late I thought I would give myself a double handicap. Yes folks, not only is this saucy little piece of Metal Be-Bop in a strange time it also contains bazaar key changes so I present to you "A tone and a half in time and a quarter". No let's see you dance to this one. :D
