Has anyone had any experience with these guitars?

I've been hunting for an es 335/355 or something of the like and I've just stumbled on a 347 at what seems to be a really decent price.

Any Gibson users out there?
Thanks! I was reading that link and decided to make a post ?
Unfortunately I haven't played a 347, but have yet to play a bad ES-series Gibson. Is it a blonde one?
Go check it out, I reckon. If it's a pre-85 - well, they have a bad reputation but... that reputation is about the design choices, not the build quality which I have found to be greatly superior to post 2000 Gibsons (barring custom shop models).
          Coincidence.

A friend of mine in Germany just got himself a 1978 ES-347, apparently only 15 Stereo/Piano Black/ES 347 were made.
He's selling it, he had it valued, they say between 3000€ and 4500€.

          Here's his demo of it.

Very nice... hmm. Spendy! I wonder what this one is actually worth. Apparently it's a 1980s Blonde.
Great price. Make sure you can view it first, don't get scammed. At that price, if the truss rod works and the neck isn't warped or anything, I can't see you going wrong with it. If you don't take it I will ?

Yeah, I'm worried that there is something terribly wrong with it that I won't be able to tell... Any tips? He said the the brass nut was replaced with a bone nut. I've been looking at a few threads and checked out some details on fakes and I'll just have to have a closer look!
The replaced bone nut is a plus in my book. View the neck from the headstock down to the bridge and look for any obvious abnormaluities.I would also adjust the trussrod to make sure it works. I have a guage I use to measure neck relief, which makes it easier to see if the trussrod works.
ad looks fishy (pictures are to nice and description also. If he really knows that well what he has, he would not sell it for 10k)
to good to be true imo
and if true, jump on it ?
let us know how it goes

But have you not spoken to the seller ? Was he knowledgeable about the guitar ? Did he give you an address ? One can easily hear if someone is trying to do a scam.

His phone number didn't work and he hasn't responded to the two emails I've sent him. If he does respond and I check it out and it's legit, then its another story, but for now I'll assume it's fake.

Then this is most probably a scam.
