  • Effects loop and pedal switchers

Ok so I have been looking at loop/pedal switching pedals lately. I know Alan had the octa switch in the classifieds recently and I was interested in acquiring it, but the $ flow let me down a bit.

But I want to start saving up for one of these pedals, since tap dancing is not quite my thing!
I also realised that Voodoo Labs also have some pedals.

So after the Joyo pedals topic recently I stumbled upon the following

http://www.wtfaccessories.com/moen-gec9-pedal-switcher.html

It looks quite nice and for the price is it is not too bad. But never heard of the brand before etc.
So just want to know if any of you ever came accross this pedal and what your overall thoughts / recommendations are on these type of pedals.

Musicoms EDX MK III looks very nice ( I think JoeyBones has one) but that is quite a lot of $ for that pedal. But I think he can do midi as well. At this point in time I do not require midi functionality, but might in future. Any suggestions?

I think Dan Auerbach (Black Keys) using something like that thats been modified to be part of a wider and more solid stainless steel unit.

Personally I'd be nervous about doing business with a shop named "WTF". YMMV.
I'm not sure about WTF (a chinese online store) - especially as they even offer to fraudulently put the wrong value on the customs invoice (which SARS is wise to and can get you in trouble).

Moen have a good reputation and their line of mini FX pedals is popular and well regarded. High tech items from Chinese companies tend to have rather cryptic manuals - not a huge problem, but something to bear in mind (read the Features on the item page for an idea). Price-wise it's almost a no-brainer and possibly worth taking a risk on.

Yep, I do not think that the Chinese company was the important factor here, but rather just the product. Cause I have never heard of it before.
The pedal seems nice, and I found a few dealers from the US etc that stock them.

So ITO the product, you would say it is ok, but just to make sure of the agent, shipping etc?

I've heard enough about their other stuff to say that I'd probably be willing to take the chance given the really attractive price. But I haven't tried the pedal (or any Moen pedals at all), so there would still be a chance that it backfires.

Unfortunately someone has to take the plunge first. I'm often the first lemming (rat - cliff ?), but don't need anything like this, so it falls to you. ?
I read a fair amount on them today and everything is positive.

I say take the plunge from a US store 8)
