Why won't Musician's Friend ship Dimarzio pups to SA?

I've been looking at getting some Dimarzios for my RG570 and I have heard good things about Musician's Friend, but when I go to checkout to see what the shipping cost would be, it pops up with the message: "Some of the items in your cart won't ship to this location". I've also noticed when looking on Ebay that none of the sellers offering Dimarzios offer shipping to SA for these items. Anybody know why??

its not the first time where "its cheaper o/s than here" scenarios come up on here,and rightly.. so they should.
we/us as consumers are not importers,just online customers,the basic wolesale/retail law is the same everywhere in some form or other,if you buy from a wholesaler there is a chance you wont get it as others have mentioned here on this thread.
If you purchase from a retailer,there is 99.9% chance you will,depending on their potage policies,which have nothing to do with grey(dual) import issues with a local wholesaler,even less a retailer.
Just last week or so I enquired on a Tascam GB10 Guitar/Bass Trainer,online for between $99-$129 +$16 postage,a relatively small parcel so its nice and cheap to post.
Locally it sells for R3199 or so....chalk and cheese...
A few emails to and fro from retailer and its here next week for under R1k...
Sure... the local dist wont warranty it,most items are only 12 months anyways,if by any chance its DOA,sure I'll cop a postage fee again,so,big deal...
If I needed p/ups,sure Id go and look at them in a music shop here and haggle a price,would I purchase them?I doubt it.
With regards to postage theft,its just good ol RSA paranoia,but I do use a po box address so it might be different,so it could be the postie himself whos claiming freebees....
