  • Low Impedance Volume Pedals

Howdy fellow GFSA folks

I'm looking for a low impedance volume pedal. And was wondering of what brands are out there that have LI VP's. I know Boss has the FV50L and FV500L. I'm basically looking for a volume pedal that i can use after all my effects. I want to put it in the effects loop of my amp just before my delay. So any brand names and models. Links if possible to said pedals.

Thanx

    VP and VP jnr

If the volume pedal is after ony true bypass pedals, low Z is fine. If its after buffered pedals or you have active pickups, you'll need a high Z pedal.... or have I got that the wrong way round? Can never remember that one.

Other way around... ? Guitar pickups are Hi-Z. If you have only true-bypass pedals and they're all bypassed you'll be sending a Hi-Z signal into the low-z pedal. Impedance mismatch = tone suck/loss associated with volume pedals.

ps. I have a low-z EB VP jr and it works great!
Check my signiature to see my pedals i use. and the chain order. mostly boss pedals.

          Yup - other way around.

But true bypass or not, most pedals output low Z when they are turned on, so the general rule is highZ if it is the first thing in your chain, low Z if it is anywhere else (and if all your pedals are TB, you might need a buffer somewhere before it to get a high Z signal when everything else is bypassed.

          I have a pair of FV500s one each, L and H.
If you have a Boss pedal anywhere in the chain, then low Z is the way to go anywhere but first in the chain. All the Boss pedals are buffered bypass.
