Well it's gone.........brought in my HIWATT 100 this morning to give her a quick demo and as soon as I gave her a powerchord she was sold.....lol.
But, the madness didn't stop last night, so I thought that I'd add it to close off this thread. It's funny how the most response that I got was after it was pretty much spoken for.
#6 (part 4, phonecall)
Ken called last night as promised, shame he actually sounded like a nice guy, I felt a tad bad for a few seconds........we chit chatted about specs and condition and I sent him some more pictures that I had of it, and I did explain that I suspect that the person who is gonna take it is really going to take it. Chatted for 20 odd minutes and you can hear that he was miffed with himself for not acting sooner on it. He commented on my selling style and said that he felt that he was being pranked..........lol........not too far from it kenny old boy.
And then #8. (phonecall) BERT:
This guy was very local as his landline was showing up and I thought that it was my neighbour at first, turns out her lives 3 blocks away and wanted to see it ASAP. He offered me R500 extra to blow off the girl at work...(lol, he said blow off......lol). He demanded to be put first on the list and I said yup, you can be first, right after Ken as he contacted me first. He was actually pretty cocky and a bit of a tosser, then again, he's from my area so he's probably a tad roff n ready.
He first tried to get me to trade the guitar for a made by gibson les paul copy that turned out to be an SX.
# 9 (also a phone call) Then the last person to call was a woman, Marie something or other, sounded a tad mature.............hehehehe, hellooooo.
I could seriously imagine her voice being used on a sex chat call in service. She knew NOTHING about guitars, but said that it looked nice and it's an ibanez and she thinks that she's heard the name before. She was a bit upset that the guitar was on pending and that she'd have to go behind Ken and Bert if she wanted it. Honestly I felt like I was paying by the minute talking to this woman ? all too soon the conversation was over.....
So that in a nutshell was a documented account of how I sold my Ibanez ARX 300. Not planning to sell anything else soon.........pity though.
