I think Alan has mentioned these before but holy cow... I just tried out the new Gallien Krueger range (at MM Tokai) with neodymium magnets. These things weigh NOTHING. 2x12, 4x10, 1x15 all easily lifted with one hand and they sound gooooooooood!
I was sceptical until I heard them, what a joy to have a good sounding 500w combo that you can easily carry around. I'm aware that neodymium is mainly used for bass amps at the mo but surely they should be gaining traction all round?

You just have to say Gallien Krueger and I'm there. I mixed a reggae gig, the guy used a very small one, but it sounded fantastic. In a small venue I did not need to feed it thru FOH.

The Blackstar Series One 45 has them too. 2x12 combo weighing less than 30 kg.
