I don't see the point of that guitar. The thing with a 335 is it is semi-hollow, that is just a 335 shaped LP? If it is the same size as a 335, I can only imagine what it will weigh. Better fret access I guess.
Urgh. These have been around for ages. And they never had a reason to be.

So really nothing like a 335.

Look, if it works for you then it works for you but this is NOT a 335, it's a solid body guitar with a 335-ish shape.
Gibson of the early 21st century just can't do anything right can they?
I'm looking for things that are wrong but I'm not finding.

This design hails from at least the early '80s.

Different strokes. But without being a semi hollow with a molded top, this is basically an over-large, not very attractive, flat top solid-body. This works, IMO, with the Les Paul Special, because that's a small bodied guitar. To me, the 335s is charmless.
At least they did'nt paint fake "f" holes on it ! :?
They should just sell their LPs for less $$$. That will stop many (most?) complaints.
Yeah, I don't quite get why you'd want a solid 335...does it come with free chiro appointments?

People will never be happy with the big names. Also, I don't see this as being relevant to the 335s?

It's relevant because they're trying to sell a guitar that is almost a LP but not quite, for cheaper than a LP. People want LPs, SGs and real 335s. Not this thing, hence, sell the stuff people want for more reasonable amounts and the complaints will decrease (and sales will go up).
What about the Les Paul Studio? It's cheaper and pretty much the same as this, except a Les Paul shape and carved top.

Yeah exactly. That one is pretty cheap but can easily be even cheaper, as can the proper LPs. Which would negate a cheaper, solid 335 style thing. Is all I'm saying.
There used to be a budget 335 which people liked a lot because it had an control access plate at back.

This just seems like another dig at Gibson to me.
Reminds me a bit more of the LP Double Cut away, but with the Les Paul special II shape. Either way I still like it lol.

That was the 333, satin finish, no neck binding. Supposedly nice guitars.
Saw a blonde 330L this morning, goodness what a sexy guitar.

People liked them. And funnily, the earliest '58 335s had unbound necks.

                                    L?
