Thanks!

Yow the DC30 is ugly inside.

The Cornford carrera looks FANTASTICally neat!
I was surprised at the bruno......... Quite messy in there

@mike: what you think of the pic I sent you on e-mail?

Wow, its a wonder it works at all, imagine you have to bugfix that

HiWatts were renowned for the neatness of their wiring:

        How about a BC Audio?:

          mmmm yummy

Made me look for a Swart AST gutshot, found one of the AST Master

Will maybe open mine up one day to for a sneak peek

I wonder if my DC30 clone is wired that messy.
              BenjiTone, very neat stuff.

I'm still trying to find a good solution for grounding my preamp cathodes... Atm I am thinking of something similar to this..

Or running a little bus off the side of my turretboard.. Hrrmmmmm

Even though those resistors are grid stopppers, you could use that idea for your amp. I remember you had cathode resistors off board. One idea is to run a bus from the centre pin of your sockets that the cathodes can ground to. Plus it will add shielding for pin to pin on the socket itself.
I can't really figure out what you're trying to explain BT ☹ Diagram perhaps?

On the 9pin socket, there is normally a "10th" pin in the centre. If the bus bar (wire) is connected to this 10th pin, it acts as a shielding between these pins. You could do a bus from socket to socket or just the first sensitive stage and then across chassis near to where the mains earth is. Hope I explained it better.
Saw some gutshots of a couple of Swart amps the other day, mainly the 6v6se.. The general consensus was: not pretty. however, not pretty - not equal to - sounds ugly. Very much not the case. The Swarts sound magical from what I've heard.

I have a feeling that people who get too preoccupied with their 90 degree wire bends don't really know cracking so much. A wire with 90 degree bends is by no means the shortest path from a to b.

Some people have no discretion for things that should be earthly..
