10CC would be great if it was the original bunch of Gouldman, Stewart, Godley and Creme.
Seems to be Gouldman plus Rick Fenn and Paul Burgess who were basically hired hands for a while in the 70s, plus a couple of session players with no connection to the band.
They did some good albums is the 70's , "How Dare You' which had one of my favourite songs of all time "I'm Mandy Fly me"
Chris, you might have heard "Dreadlock Holiday" - "I dont like Cricket, I love it..."
They were a very clever band. "How Dare You" was a great album, but I liked "Sheet Music" more. What was the album before that one?
I'd accept a "10cc" without Gouldman and Creme, but Eric Stewart not being there is a bridge too far for me, despite Gouldman's pedigree as a writer of great pop songs. Stewart wrote and sang some of their best songs, notably "I'm Not In Love".
