Toasted (stupidest song you have ever heard)

Ive had this song for a while. Pretty much since I started paying guitar 3 years ago.

I just thought I would upload it and see what people with brains in their heads thought about it.

I played this song at an event at the beginning of the year and people are still taking about it. It must be because its such a stupid song, but everyone loved it.

I would have preferred it if this wasnt the song that people know be by, but it is.
So everyone on the forum may as well know me by it too.

Thanks for your honesty. I do appreciate it.

I also did not like the song first time I listened to it after recording. But it grew on me.

The lyrics are actually very deep and meaningful.

lol...its like un ending downward spiral...look, the fact that you actually have the balls to record your stuff and put it online is pretty awesome in itself...i on the other hand cringe at everything i record...so give urself a break, that right "someone" will eventually listen to ur stuff and all your hard work will pay off!!!
just keep recording and posting them here, someone will notice them!!! ?

From personal experience I've come to the conclusion that only 2% of people will truely like what you do, and the rest dont want to hurt your feelings.

No, I dont think Im defending it at all... (just joking around as usual) In-fact I can understand why no one would like it. Its just when I log onto facebook and see peoples status as "I dont want cereal for breakfast, I WANT A TOASTED SANDWICH!" and when people ask me for a recording of the song so they can send it to their friends it does get me thinking.
Are my friends a bunch of mindless idiots or is this really a cool song?

Personally I dont like it. I love playing it live but as far has hearing it, Id rather not...

dude, I like it..... :yup:
so let me tell you what I Like about this song, then what I Don't like ...

Like :-
I like the simplicity, people will always remember it once they've listened to it.
I like the singing in the deep low octave in the beginning of each verse.
I like the buildup into the chorus
great contrast coming out of the chorus with the bass riff.

Not crazy about :-
your drummer tends to s-l-o-o-O-w the song d-o-w-n in many parts, so there's a timing problem there.
the overall mix needs some work there (Vocals could come up, and ja general EQ and stuff....in the part with the bass run you could give the snare more depth with a bit of reverb or something etc.etc.etc).

I think there's lots of potential here,, :applause:

and one more thing,,,,, I've heard some songs that would take your title hands down,,,Macarena is but one in hundreds of seriously stupid songs out there,,, you need to believe in your music, cos if you put it out there and trash it before anyone's heard it you are already making up peoples minds for them ?

-'Shaggy' doing 'His Name is Alive' meets 'Trio'.(all artist/band names)
-The timing of the 2nd vox really really bugs me, and its way too prominent in the mix.
-Actually a pretty strong idea if you're going for the novelty approach.
