Guys I need some advice on what to do with my old amp.

I have a Hiwatt Maxwatt G50R.
To me it was a great sounding amp at lower volumes. Very cool as a practice amp in the room without disturbing the neighbours dogs!
But not so cool to crank it up at a gig or band practice. Maybe I tried once to many times to make the earth rumble and now its broken!

Took it to a amp guy and his verdict was that the amp is fine, but we needs a new speaker.

So I had a look around and found a few speakers, but am not willing to spend that amount of money on a new speaker. Reason being I had my mind on exploring valve amps for some time now and rather put the moneys towards that.

So here I am.... ... orderred my first little valve amp ( Ibanez TSA15 with cab) should have it in a week or two and thats all thanks to GFSA`s discussions on amps.

But what to do with the Hiwatt? Any advice or thoughts?
Sell as is or slap in a cheapie or secondhand speaker and sell/keep as a practice amp. I think someone (Wizard?) was selling a Wharfedale in the classifieds. Otherwise, if you don't come right, give me a shout, I've got some 12's lurking somewhere.
Thanks, found the Whaferdale. Looking into it.
I love the G50R, but for gigs and anything bigger it's just not gonna happen. My G100R plays with a live drummer no problem and could probably be used for gigs as well as it's loud, but I don't see the 50watter doing the same.

Remember that the wharfdale is a 16ohm. I think that the single 12 trhat was in there was probably 8ohm. I'd get a half decent 12" in there and use it for practice only.

My mate bought a mint condition one on here the other day for R800. So one without a speaker would be about R500 bones if you were lucky.
