  • Kustom Groove 210c bass amp (600w) what do you think?

Ahoy

so I'm in the shopping mood for somthing more powerfull than my A100 Hartke...
Came across a Kustom groove 210c which puts out 600w out of 2x10 speakers, sounds crazy...

I havent heard it yet, but has anyone had some experience with these, pros / cons etc?

And there is also a hartke vx3500 (350w) which has 4x10, both are combos..

we do rock and somtime things a little louder...

cheers
mmm, okay, no first hand info...maybe it is a POS?? hehe
The Kustom combo seems to have the right ingredients to go pretty loud. The questions you have to ask are how old is it, does everything still work perfectly and is the price right? If the band has a decent PA you can always take a line out from your amp, but that is where the next problem starts! Usually the PA is just good enough for vocals and the poor bass is drowned out by the guitars and drums. Nowadays it is not unusual to see bass player on stage with very powerful amps - even in "quieter" settings....

PS The Hartke 3500 heads should be ample.
Guys, the only thing I know about bass amps is that they need to put out substantially more power than a regular guitar amp. BUT even to a bass noob like me, 600W through a pair of 10" speakers seems... I don't know... impossible for speakers to live through? Surely? My VK112 is a 100W through a single 12", and sometime I feel I'd like another 12". I also thought the "standard" bass speaker size was around 15"?

Like I say, I know nothing, so could someone perhaps enlighten me?
Ive got a 300w and its plently loud. I dont ever venture past 4 (and that is crazy loud). Do you really need 600w, instead cant you save your money and get something less. When you gig, they just put you through the desk in any case so its not like you have to support yourself

You don't have to be a noob to figure that, VellaJ ........... ?

            More than ample actually.....

Depends on the thermal handling capability of the speakers!
300W per speaker is not unimaginable ?
