If you had to start a band...what sound would you be after?

Yeah just as the subject says. If I had to start a band...hmmmm...actually quite difficult to say or describe. It would definately have progressive elements which should also allow for some experimenting. My preferred sound for a band I would like to play in would be something like a mix of Porcupine Tree and Riverside. Something that is totally relaxed with a touch of mystery and high emotion. However it should also occasionally allow for a total blow out...frighteningly heavy at times kind of thing. That would be my favourite sounding band at the moment ?

deanBailey wrote I was being sarcastic man ? I'm physically unable to listen to those bands I mentioned.
I love metal but metal with dynamics and a humanistic feel, nothing that sounds like anything a computer pooped out.
Which in my opinion are the bands on that list

*ducks*

Ouch. Well, that crushed my hopes and dreams ☹
Nah, I love as I lay dying. and I love Trivium ?.. And I love KsE.. and I love BFMV('s old album)
If I could play half as well as even just the first three, I'd be on a high ?
There's a ton more I'd go for, but yeah, I like those bands.
So.. what would these "opposites" be? If it's that good, I wanna know ?

lol "in the opposites" is another way of saying "Noooot" eg.
"This suit is black...NOT"

Just the former is how kids used to say it back in the 90's lol
