Hi Guys

I just got my new Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp (Python Skin with Celestion V30 speaker)....well bought it second hand but it's in perfect condition, hardly used and it sounds awesome! One problem that I found is there is a slight buzz and it sounds like it is the pre-amp valves rattling against something.....but not 100% sure.

So my question is, can someone give me advice on what to check and can someone recommend a guitar tech to check this for me, I live in Centurion area but will travel

Hope somone can help, thanks

I just found your thread while searching for an amp tech in PTA - I'll let you know when I find one!

      Hey man!

I understand you did Biasing, any difference? My Peavey Classic 30 does the same and I fitted the valves with O-Rings, advice anyone??

I did - took it to JP le Roux (he's on the link I posted above). I also had some buzzing from the pre-amp tube covers, and he sorted it out. If the buzzing is the only problem you might be able to fix it just by fiddling with the tubes a little, but if your amp needs biasing/servicing I'd recommend taking it in. There was an improvement in the amp's tone after he biased it, but don't expect a night and day difference, just a subtle improvement.

All the valves have just been replaced, I'll check it out when I get it back. Hoping that will solve the issue... ?
