You're not comparing lemons with lemons here.
There are other issues around nick changes (which are permissible, "Blind Lemon van Schalkwyk" being the 4th nick that I can think of that I've used on this forum). For example, what about the guys with "good dealings with..." in their signatures. Some folks have been kind enough to include X-rated Bob in there, but should they all change their sigs now?
I recall when Mr M became Mr T. Suddenly I saw my name in a "good dealings" list of somebody whose nick I didn't recognise. Huh? I had good dealings with that guy? Who he?
