+1. A common problem. You have to spend time with
any piece of gear to learn how to get the best out of it.
I'm currently playing with a guy that plays an EPI LP into a solid state Fender amp. First time we played together I plugged him into my Twin and gave him a Barber LTD for dirt. He wasn't happy, because it wasn't "his" sound. At the end of the day he plays better when he's happy, and the solidstate amp makes him happy.
