Chat Competitions

Something Tanya loves doing on Deviant Art's chat is "PhotoHunt". A "judge" selects a word (eg: smooth) and then the photogs in the channel run around like mad for 20 mins, finding something to photograph that represents the word. They're allowed minimal editing in Photoshop. The judge then picks the winner. No voting or anything - totally a case of judge's decision is final, etc. It's very exciting and, after a number of wins, you can go up in the "ranks" and eventually be a judge yourself and run your own hunts. Only hunts run by judges count towards your ranks. The MAIN thing about something like this is that it inspires you to push yourself on a daily/weekly basis (depending on how often you play). Some of Tanya's best work in recent months has been inspired by photohunts. (Including the pic she took of my pedal the other day. Word was "distortion") Soooooooooo... I'm wondering if we could start something similar here? Words might not work but, then again, they could. "Smooth" could be something jazzy, "black" could be a hard-hitting metal riff, etc. We could start off doing it weekly for a while until we have some regulars and then try doing it every night or something? Of course, not everyone will be able to participate but, trust me, even 3 people competing is enough for it to be exciting. Interested?

I would agree with the longer deadline. No internet access at home ☹ I think one evening to put something together is perfect...

Renesongs

OK Norrie you complained that I don't submit enough music to GFSA, with the Birthday competition finished we should revive this thread I will be an active participant hell I would even volunteer to help judge whatever ( if it ain't blues you lose - only joking).
