Bought a bargain Classic 30

Hi guys I just wanted to let you know that I bought a Peavey Classic 30 off Junkmail for R2999! It's in perfect condition, and came with a beautiful brown leather cover. There are still some good deals out there!

I got my Peavey Classic 30 today for R3500 second hand at Music Connection, sounds awesome specially when played with my strat!!! But i have 2 questions...

1) It pops when i turn it off, obviously theres no standby switch (which is the only problem i have with it) is there a method to avoid the pop? It seems like a common event on al c30's

2) is the jj tubes stock? My plan was to give it jj's and a Celestion Vintage but on inspection theres already jj's installed..

The C30s, like the AC30 do not need a standby switch (because of a slow startup voltage ramp).

The pop is a different issue that a competent amp tech should be able to sort out (big ass cap across the power switch?).

No JJ are not stock, IIRC, the stock valves are Sovtek.

Okay cool i googled the pop and it doesnt seem to be a big issue more of a irritation... Well the jj's is a very pleasant surprise in that case, i was expecting old worn out tubes but these seem brand new... Its the latest model c30 according to the salesman it was bought 2years ago..
