This months challenge was Insane Genres
The idea is compose a one minute piece of music in 2 musical genres that don't go together e.g. Acid-Flamenco, Grunge-Jazz, Shred-Blues or Gospel-Punk.
Since I realise this is a pretty difficult challenge I am going to allow you to borrow well known covers so long as you totally don't sound anything like the original, Rather like what UB40 did to Johnny B Goode.
And here are the contestants - No categories this time only one vote per member by Sunday 31st

So this entry is a Jazz-Grunge mix. I took a popular Jazz Standard (Summertime) and seriously messed it up (intentionally). The recording itself sounds quite raw as if I played all instruments live in a garage, I can assure you I didnt, and I am not quite sure why my Ableton made it sounds so fat and muddy, but none the less its Grungy as hell!!!

I managed to get mine done just in time. Here it is, the Boere Boogie:

I'd have to confess though that, it consists of three iterations of which the third contains 5 tracks as opposed to four. I only realised my mistake after I mastered the final version and I just don't have the energy or indeed time to redo it.
